Board Members Roles

Role of the President (P)

  • Be sure to greet and supervise guests upon their arrival in the room.
  • Lead and conduct energetic meetings

Role of the Vice President (VP)

  • Conduct meeting during Presidents absence
  • Assist the President at meetings (see conduct of meeting).
  • Recruit and supervise the roles of Board members and (Sub-Board)
  • Actively recruit new members to the vacant seats: emails, social networks, smartphones, meetings, etc.. according to your availability. See “reservation” at the bottom of each page group to be aware of the positions most in demand and/or register new members

Role of the Secretary-Treasurer (ST)

  • When applicable collect money for costs of participation in activities and submit to the President (provide receipts when required).
  • Enter the information from the meeting in the FORMSTACK (section member, Tab Board).) using a computer (Mac / PC), iPad or iPhone. Submit preferably during the meeting or within 24 hours of it.
  • GR will track guests and make necessary changes with information collected from Formstack. It allows us to monitor your group and provide fast and efficient support to members, the Board, the Sub-Board and increase the number of group members.

  • Monitor the budget in the interest of the group members. Manage different campaigns and funding sources as well as on the register tab FORMSTACK budget.
  • Include referrals and data on FORMSTACK weekly.
  • Input information on the FORMSTACK including Coach/techno tips and Trick of trade to help with promoting events at group.( preferably 5 weeks in advance)
  • Ensure the presence of a substitute in case of absence and notify the Board.

Role of the Greeter (H)

  • Ask members to send you via email, the name of each of their guests and service so you are prepared to greet them and know the number in attendance.
  • Be in attendance 15 minutes prior to meeting to greet and Install a reception desk
  • Maintain the business card box with proper inventory and when not possible ensure another member of board has access or leave at location when possible
  • Ask for two business cards from each visitor and hand them to the President before introducing the guest.
  • Ensure proper implementation of GR Business Networking policies and procedures.
  • Two visits maximum per guest in the network.

Role of the Group Coordinator
